According to WalletHub, New Hampshire is the 43rd most boring state in the U.S. Even more wild, Maine lands at 38th. I could go off on a serious tangent right now on how Maine is probably one of the most fulfilling states to live in, but I'll try to keep it calm.

Where's a fun city to stay at in New Hampshire?

Portsmouth, NH is one of my favorite cities to visit in New England because of the waterfront bars and restaurants. In fact I spend a lot of time there in the summer because the patios are absolutely adorable outside. Riverjack's is a riot and there's so many more along the way.

As for Maine, the fun is truly endless. There's something for everyone. You wanna barhop? Try the Old Port in Portland for a mini city vibe. More of a nature person? Perfect, we have thousands of trails and hiking areas all across the state.

New Hampshire's slogan is literally, "Live Free or Die" and Maine is called "Vacationland". I mean, it writes itself here. Sorry Wallethub, I have to disagree with your list on this one.

Mistakes Tourists Make When Visiting New Hampshire

Whether it's trying to pack too much in to one trip (figuratively and also literally ion their suitcase) or choosing to dine at the tourist traps over the mom and pop shops, people who visit New Hampshire deserve to experience all our fine state has to offer. Let the mistakes of tourists from our past help shape your visit in the future.
