Police in northern Maine have arrested the second of two suspects in a string of vehicle thefts in Aroostook and Washington counties this summer, according to a story in TheCounty.me.

Presque Isle Police arrested 33-year-old Darcy Webber on a warrant issued for allegedly stealing and crashing a tractor trailer truck in Easton on July 3.

Both she and 39-year-old Jessie White, also from Easton, are the two main suspects in a list of motor vehicle thefts across Aroostook and Washington counties over the last several weeks. According to police, the search for the two suspects started on July 3 when Terry White of Easton reported his 2012 Freightliner truck stolen. It's still unclear if Jessie White and Terry White are related, or if their last name is a coincidence.

According to The County online, police in Ashland and Castle Hill saw the truck that afternoon, but the driver refused to pull over, and a high-speed chase commenced that eventually ended with the truck stuck on railroad tracks somewhere in Ashland. White and Webber allegedly fled on foot, and were later apprehended.

Both suspects still remain in Aroostook County Jail, unable to post bail.
