Major Furniture Retailer Closing All New England Locations
Maine has no stores, but New Hampshire is losing its stores.
It's the popular furniture chain American Freight Furniture - Mattress store. According to the US Sun, the chain is closing its stores in all 40 states because the owner, Franchise Group, filed for bankruptcy.
If you happen to be in the market for some furniture, they are cutting prices as they wind down all 328 locations. Before they close the doors, they are taking 30% off the lowest ticketed prices storewide. It's a pretty decent deal if you need a living room set, bedroom furniture, dining table, or a new appliance. That includes refrigerators, washers, and dryers.
Where's the closest American Freight Furniture - Mattress?
For most of us, the closest location would be the Hookset, New Hampshire location. But there are also locations in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. They want this stuff to go and the CEO of Hilco Consumer-Retail, Ian Fredericks, told the US Sun,
Our goal is to deliver outstanding value to customers during this full chain closing sale. Everything is on sale and must be sold, and we recommend shopping early for the best selection.
They still will have some financing and delivery service while they shutter all of their locations.
The closing of all American Freight Furniture locations will help other businesses
When all of American Freight Furniture locations close, they hope this helps the other businesses they own like Pet Supplies Plus, The Vitamin Shoppe, and Buddy's Home Furnishings. South Portland is home to Pet Supplies Plus.
If you are looking for some great deals before the holidays, this might just be for you.
