Massabesic Battles Down to the Final Seconds of the Maine State High School Basketball Tournament…Again [VIDEO]

The Massabesic Boys high school basketball team never gives up. After a rally to beat Gorham in the final minute of the Class AA South Championship they rallied again against South Portland in the last minutes of the game. 

With South Portland ahead 61-55 and less than a minute to go, Massabesic closes to within two points. Once again, it all comes down to the final seconds in what is another exciting finish in high school basketball at the Cross Insurance Arena.

It wasn't meant to be this time though, as the South Portland defense was able to hold the Mustangs back as they raced to tie the game and send it to overtime.

Massabesic may have lost, but you've got to give these kids credit. They are amazing under pressure and have made some stellar comebacks at this year's tournament. Maybe next year guys.

Now it's the battle of the bridge as South Portland will move on to take on Portland in the Class AA Championship on Saturday, February 27 at the Cross Insurance Arena.
