Massachusetts College Kicks Basketball Player Off Campus After Shocking Attack on Opposing Player
Fitchburg State University in Massachusetts has indefinitely suspended a basketball player from the school and barred him from campus after he viscously attacked an opposing player during a home game on Tuesday night.
The video of the event is shocking. According to WHDH in Boston, Fitchburg junior Kewan Platt can be seen on video punching Nichols’ Nate Tenaglia to the ground with a "forearm shiver," well after Tenaglia shot a three-pointer.
In a statement today, Fitchburg State University administrators said that the attack appalled the school community, and that the student was suspended from campus until a full investigation can determine what permanent sanctions should be imposed.
Fitchburg went to lose the game, 84-75.
