Music Video by Local Singer Reminds Us There’s No Place Like Maine in the Summer
The other day I came across a music video by a local artist that absolutely screams summer in Maine, so I had to share.
You may not have heard of her yet, but Sparxsea is a local singer/songwriter who's name should be on everyone's lips. Chelsea Toussaint, a Maine native and Portland local who goes by the pseudonym Sparxsea, writes some of the most pleasant yet soulful and original music I've heard.
This music video for her song "On the Sea" was filmed on the beautiful Matinicus Island here in Maine while she and her partner (another local artist named Max Felker) were on a weekend getaway.
The visuals are a perfect accompaniment to the Colbie Caillat-esque acoustic vibe Chelsea brings with her music and voice, which is certainly easy on the ears. With beautiful shots of the Atlantic ocean and wildlife, running along the beach, sun shining down, cooking lobster, hanging with her pups, I couldn't imagine a more glorious place to shoot a laid-back music video like this one!
What a reminder that there really is no other place like Maine in the summah!
