Since Maine legalized the recreational use of marijuana, the number of places you can buy pot has exploded all over Maine. But the businesses in Eliot, Maine, according to Mainebiz, have a stretch of 'cannabusinesses' known as the 'Green Mile.' Another dispensary just opened along the 'Green Mile' called OG Cannabis. Their slogan is 'The Way Leaf Should Be'. I love how pot places use puns.

This 'Green Mile' is a mix of retail and medical marijuana dispensaries:

  • Cannabis Cured Recreational Weed Dispensary Eliot,
  • East Coast Cannabis-Eliot
  • Sweet Dirt Medicinals Cannabis
  • OG Cannabis

Why Eliot, Maine? Eliot is the perfect location for those in New Hampshire who haven't had the recreational use of marijuana legalized. But could the 'Green Mile' be in trouble this year?

Is 2024 the year recreational marijuana becomes legal in New Hampshire?

New Hampshire is the only state in New England that hasn’t legalized and regulated cannabis for adults. But, New Hampshirites want it! There is over 70% voter support for the legalization of adult-use marijuana, and that's going to be hard to ignore. But for now, with Eliot, Maine, just across the Piscataqua River, it's a quick 10-minute drive from downtown Portsmouth, New Hampshire, to get some.

Until it becomes legal in New Hampshire to use pot just for the fun of it and not for medical reasons (New Hampshire has decriminalized the possession of up to 3/4 of an ounce of cannabis), smart Mainers are giving you the option to hop, skip, and jump over to Eliot.
