Oakhurst will hold a press conference on Friday to announce a new program to help the 80,000 Maine public school students who go to bed hungry.

The announcement will be made at the Westrbook Middle School on Friday with President of Oakhurst, John Bennett and Governor Janet Mills. Oakhurst says in a press release that 43% of all children in Maine get free or reduced price breakfast and lunch at school, but sadly, often times that's their last meal of the day.

Oakhurst wants to change that and will announce a new partnership and program that plans to address the problem of hunger among Maine's school children.

Oakhurst will celebrate it's 100th birthday next year and throughout their history they have always given back to Maine and will continue to do so with the new initiative that they will announce Friday.

Stay tuned!
