50 Cent is one of the top five rappers of all time, but I'm not here to debate that. I'm here to tell you that he lives in New England, and I, for one, had no clue.
Well, he has a house in New England.
50 grew up in Queens, NYC. So for him to have a property in Connecticut is not that crazy.
What is crazy is whose home 50 Cent used to belong to former boxer Mike Tyson.
The rapper, whose real name is Curtis James Jackson III, bought the home at 50 Poplar Hill Drive in Farmington, Connecticut, for $4.1 million in 2003. The sale set a record for the most expensive home sold there, The Journal reported, according to a Business Insider article.
Look at this thing.
In 2003, the estate was worth a little over four million dollars. In 2019, it was listed at 18 million.
According to the listing from Douglas Elliman, the home has 21 bedrooms, 25 bathrooms, an indoor pool and hot tub, a nightclub, an indoor court, multiple game rooms, a green-screen room, a recording studio, and many other opulent features.
Did I read that right? A nightclub inside the house? Only 50 would have that.
