After days of battling a massive fire at a former woolen mill in Mechanic Falls, a restaurant in Oxford made a gesture to the firefighters, police, and medical personnel who helped get the fire under control and everyone out safely.

Daddy O's restaurant in the Oxford Plaza on Route 26 reached out to all the first responders in the fire on their Facebook page who were tired and hungry during and after the blaze offering them a free meal last Monday.

The response in the comments was full of gratitude thanking the owners for giving back to their community in such a great way. This is what makes the Oxford Hills and all of Maine for that matter, such a great place to live.
