These Maine Restaurants Have Noticeably Comfortable Seating
I saw a post on the Portland, Maine, Facebook group of somebody asking where the most comfortable seating in the city was because they just had back surgery.
The more I read the comments, the more I realized how much I really do choose a restaurant to go out to dinner to just by knowing the seating situation. Big atmosphere girl.
Here are some of the places most people mentioned at least a few times in the comments section claiming their seating is comfortable enough even for somebody recovering from surgery.
Let's dive in.
Becky's Diner - I love a good booth situation, and they definitely have it. However, do not try to get a seat on a Saturday morning during the summer months as you'll be sitting on the curb instead. (It's so busy!)
Tuscan Table in South Portland - This is also a great choice. I'm counting it even though it's Portland-adjacent. Sometimes the seats feel so big I feel awkward, but it depends on who you go with. Always great food there.
Rigby Yard - Love this place. Sidenote, the espresso martinis are to die for, and we're currently living in an espresso martini era so that was important information for you to know, you're welcome. Plus the owner is fantastic.
Batson River, The Corner Room, and Royal River in Yarmouth all made the comment section at least a few times.
Royal River in Yarmouth may be one of my favorite places to dock the boat up to in the summer, and it's true, their seating is incredible haha!
