Ready to go down the rabbit hole just like "Alice in Wonderland"? There's a Mad Hatter tearoom in Olde Mystic Village in Mystic, Connecticut that is inspired by the classic Lewis Carrol tale. Alice in the Village's website describes the place as "a whimsical wonderland experience, complete with Alice falling down the Rabbit hole," as you can see in the picture above.

The staff at Alice in the Village loves it when you come dressed as your favorite character, especially when it's a family affair. Alice or the Mad Hatter may even drop by; however, the website says this is not a daily event. You are invited to check the Facebook calendar and be sure to reserve a spot in advance for the special events.

Speaking of making reservations, you will need one for Afternoon Tea or High Tea because of the size of the tearoom. Along with an extensive selection of over 100 different teas and multi-colored butterfly teas, served hot or cold, there are freshly made crust-less sandwiches, salads, quiches, and delicious scones. Make a reservation here.
