Each March as part of Women's History Month, the Maine Academy of Modern Music (MAMM) hosts its annual Girls Rock! event—a celebration of girls' involvement in music. Think of MAMM as Maine's School of Rock. It's Maine's biggest and best music school.

This past March, MAMM student bands performed at Aura to safely take the stage.
Each band had at least one girl in the group. The Southern Maine Community College's media program was there to film it all. Now we are bringing you these amazing performances. You'll hear some great covers as well as fantastic original music. The Future of Rock is in good hands with these kids. Girls Rock! Day 3 Performances.

Are these kids fantastic or what? Thanks to AURA for hosting the taping of Girls Rock! Our friend Mark Curdo is the General Manager at AURA and told us,

"The last year has been...challenging isn't a strong enough word. It's been a year of learning...it's also shown the thirst for live musical performances. We don't want young people to lose those years of being able to perform and to improve their craft." - Mark Curdo.
