Watch Shipyard Employees Read Hilarious Hate Comments in Response to Pumpkinhead Being Released Too Early in Maine
This topic will never not be hilarious to me, mostly because the same people who complain about Pumpkinhead beer being on tap too early are the same ones asking for a cinnamon sugar rim 10 days later. The most hilarious cycle you'll ever witness is Mainers pretending that they don't already know the drill year after year.
You wanna know what else is hilarious? The way we've been doing this same pumpkin cry rodeo for 32 years. Year after year, we make the same argument as if the denominator changed. It never does. You can't beat summers in Maine, but we also love Shipyard's pumpkin beer, which comes with the connotation that summer is over. It's a funny cycle, but I love us for it. With that being said, watch the mascot of Pumpkinhead beer, Pumpkin Pete, get roasted on social media:
We Mainers know how this goes by now. We all like to say it's too early to see pumpkin beer on the shelves, as if we don't already know the time line of when it's going to drop again. I love it. I'm gonna hit you with some truth right now that might sting: IT'S NOT TOO EARLY FOR PUMPKINHEAD TO BE ON TAP. Chill my glass. Add a shot of cinnamon whiskey or vanilla vodka, get my flannel ready, and bring on all the pumpkin.
I love the Shipyard employees' takes on this. I love their humor and brilliant marketing. Keep it up, my dudes.
