Skittles Took a Steaming Dump on the Boston Bruins After Their Game 7 Loss
This was the most random thing ever.
Especially following such a heartbreaking and somewhat shocking loss, considering the record-setting season the Boston Bruins had this year.
Boston Bruins Records
During this season, not only did the Bruins set the record for the most wins in a season with 65 (crushing the previous record of 62 wins set by the Detroit Red Wings back in the 1995-96 season and matched by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2018-19 season, according to ESPN), but they also set the record for most points in a season.
According to ESPN, the B's beat out the record of 132 points scored in a season by the 1976-77 Montreal Canadiens by putting up 135 points this season.
You'd think that would earn the Bruins the respect of all hockey fans, regardless of whether those fans are also Boston fans or not.
Boston Bruins Game 7
Obviously, Sunday night was a rough night not just for the Bruins, but also fans when they dropped Game 7 to the Florida Panthers and were eliminated from the NHL Playoffs in the first round.
An obvious heartbreaking shock to both the team and fans, considering the B's were arguably the odds-on-favorite to win the Stanley Cup after the dominating season they had. And especially after being up 3-1 in the series overall.
And as if the loss wasn't tough enough, insult to injury was added super randomly by, of all people -- Skittles?
Skittles Trash the Boston Bruins
For really no reason at all, minutes after the Bruins dropped Game 7 to the Panthers, the Skittles Twitter account came out of nowhere to drop a keyboard warrior elbow drop on the Bruins with a subtweet.
With the scar still way too fresh, Bruins fans lost it on the Skittles account, which led to a trash-talk follow-up.
But let's be real, especially now that there's been a few days to swallow the loss and focus on the Celtics hopefully going all the way.
...that was hilarious.
Also, can we actually toss Skittles into the Harbor?
