Magical Holiday Drive-Through in Springfield, Massachusetts, With 750,000+ Lights Will Bring You Festive Cheer
Looking for something festive to do with the family this holiday season and willing to make a road trip?
You can certainly visit the mesmerizing massive light display Gardens Aglow in Boothbay, Maine, and the Gift of Lights drive-through experience at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon, New Hampshire, is one to remember.
But there's a holiday light show in Massachusetts you also may want to make the trip for.
Bright Nights at Forest Park in Springfield, Massachusetts
It's called Bright Nights at Forest Park in Springfield, Massachusetts, and features over 750,000 lights along its three-mile route with a variety of epic displays, including Dr. Seuss' Grinch and Max the dog, a gingerbread house, a replica of Springfield's City Hall and huge clock tower, and deer leaping over the road.
This staple holiday drive-through show has been around since 1995.

When Does Bright Nights Start?
The lights are lit from November 27 through Monday, January 5, but be sure to check the website or Facebook for any changes or updates.
Is Bright Nights Free?
Bright Nights is not free, but, Per the Bright Lights website, tickets can be purchased in advance or at Big Y World Class Markets.
Will Santa be at Bright Lights?
According to the Bright Lights website, if you want to see Santa, he will be "in his cozy cottage in Santa's Magical Forest through Christmas Eve for photos and to listen to holiday wish lists."
That's located in Santa's Magical Forest right after Seuss Land.
The times to see him are 5-9:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 5-10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Bright Lights is now in its 30th year of operation, and the website says over 7 million people have been to see it. Plus, there are nearly a million lights for you to take in from the comfort of your cozy warm car.
It's a little over three hours from Portland, Maine, and a little under three hours from Portsmouth, New Hampshire. It's a perfect drive for a weekend holiday excursion.
