Sometimes a good blizzard brings out the unusual in things. Like a sugar-coated squirrel.

Okay, it's not sugar, but the blizzard did produce some seriously light and fluffy snow that looked like sugar on this little squirrel. He (or she) is a neighbor of Sally Ann Hart in Bath. Bath was one of the jackpot areas for the blizzard with 20 inches! No wonder this little guy is peaking in the windows.

Sally and her squirrel have hung out for a while. There are two that live in the eaves of the apartment where Sally lives.

I asked Sally if she has named her squirrel friends. She hasn't named the squirrels because she's not sure if they are boy or girl squirrels or both. I have some suggestions. If they are both boy squirrels, they could be Mike and Ike.

If her squirrels are girls, I've always been a fan of naming two girl pets Thelma and Louise!

Oh and one of Sally's friends is famous and was featured on News Center Maine's website. They had solicited pictures of the blizzard and Mike, Ike, Thelma or Louise made it!

Sally gives these little guys peanuts daily. Sometimes some bananas or avocados too! I know that a lot of people don't like squirrels. I know, they can be a real pain in the butt. They eat all the birdseed that is for the birds. They put holes in your pumpkins that the kids carved. But geesh, they sure can be cute too.
