Facebook seems like a breeding ground for the spreading of things that aren't true and the latest is driving us all crazy, so just stop forwarding it okay?

Have you seen this message pop up from one of your friends on Facebook Messenger?

Please tell all the contacts in your messenger list not to accept Jayden K. Smith friendship request. He is a hacker and has the system connected to your Facebook account. If one of your contacts accepts it, you will also be hacked, so make sure that all your friends know it. Thanks. Forwarded as received. Hold your finger down on the message. At the bottom in the middle it will say forward. Hit that then click on the names of those in your list and it will send to them

Not true sheeple!

It is absolutely 100% impossible for your account to be hacked by accepting a friend request. Accept them all if you want! Doing so, won't turn your account over to them. Ever!

Now, that said, what WILL turn your account over to them is if you accept a friend and they give you a link to some place that asks for your Facebook username and password. If you enter it, that's your own fault. No one can gain access to your account unless you leave your login information somewhere for them to find, like a sketchy website or just plain giving it to someone in messenger. DON'T DO THAT!

If you get a message from one of your Facebook friends about Jayden K. Smith, either politely tell your friend that this is a hoax or unfriend them for being too gullible. Chose wisely, but whatever you do, don't keep the hoax chain going. We're tired of it. M'kay?
