Amazing Maine Animals

So if you were planning on taking a hike with family during April vacation week, this might very well be the most fun nature walk in Maine of them all.

Meet Virginia. She is the very helpful barn cat who's keeping an attentive eye on all the moms-to-be at Sunflower Farm in Cumberland.

Isn't it uncommon enough to come across one lynx while we're out in the willy wags? This lucky Mainer met with three! Great videos like this remind us of how incredible it is to live a state like ours, so rich with magnificent wildlife.

Here we go animal lovers. In Brownville, Maine way up north of Bangor...the deer are in the mood for food. Luckily for them, there's a huge buffet available just for them.

Have you ever seen a goat stick their tongue out to catch snowflakes? We thought this was one of the sweet moments of wintertime that was only enjoyed by human kids. These guys are pretty funny.

All the Sunflower Farm fans (myself included) are so happy to hear that the goat videos are finally back. We are also super excited to learn the news that babies are due in just a couple months.

It looks as though once the otter realized it was busted, it decided to high tail it outta there right quick.

This poor little buddy was evidently hit by a car yesterday in Southern Maine according to a post from the York Police Department.

These incredible shots were posted on Facebook earlier this week by Andrew F. March. According to the post, the pictures were taken at East Shirley Bog in Upper Shirley Corner, Maine. The creature is identified by Andrew as a Pine Marten.

Now that November is here, we thought you should know that there are only a few days left to get there and enjoy this magical place. The park will be closing for the season Veteran's Day weekend.
