A letter sent to the city council from the owners says in part that the menu of the new restaurant will be based around "barbecue traditions handed down through five generations of Eastern North Carolina pig cooking dating back hundreds of years."
This educational film from the 50's shows how chicken was done at a barbecue in Maine. While the cook does his thing the guests enjoy their time boating in the lake, soaking up the sun, and just plain goofing off.
Personally I think they're a little too over dressed for a barbecue in the summer by the lake but what do I know, I wasn't around in the 50's...
