The Spirit of Portland Halloween Party

For 19 years, I've been dressing up as an adult for Halloween for The Q's Halloween party. After all those years of always struggling to figure out what I'm going to be, what I came up with this year was the best yet, and it cost me nothing.

I came up with a costume for this year's Spirit of Portland Halloween Bash. Think you can guess what it is with a photo and three clues?

I think every kid had one. That house nearby that was rumored to be haunted and kids dared each other to try to go inside.

What a night Halloween night was. We packed the Ocean Gateway with people dressed in the craziest costumes to party until the witching hour!

At The Spirit of Portland Halloween Party, Rob Steele came dressed as a scary, nightmarish clown and found a perfect opportunity to spend the night scaring people as they came through the door.

Hundreds of ghosts and ghouls, witches and warlocks, zombies and many other creatures of the night converged at Ocean Gateway in Portland for the first ever "Spirit of Portland Halloween Party" and had a hauntingly great time!

I am all about authentic when it comes to Halloween. I'm not a fan of hokey ghosts with smiles. I want it to look realistic. Guess where I found these super cheap tombstones...

Two first grade classes and one 4th grade class. All Halloween. All insane. The kids had a great time - and I think even the grown ups did too! It's the annual Halloween bash we throw for the kids!

Halloween is Friday and besides Trick or Treating there is a really cool adults only Halloween bash happening right here in Portland at the Ocean Gateway.

Here at The Q we're getting ready for The Spirit of Portland Halloween Party on Halloween night and we need costumes! So we all took a trip over to The Spirit of Halloween in South Portland to pick some out.

Every year there's always someone that knocks on my door at Halloween looking for candy that makes me want to say, "Aren't you a little too old to be trick-or-treating?" I may have actually asked that question once or twice. I've put together this handy list of signs to look for to determine if that trick-or-treater is past their prime.
