Hear Taylor Swift’s ‘Patient Zero’ Every Hour Friday Morning on Q97.9

Taylor Swift is not done with The Life of a Showgirl just yet.

At midnight tonight, Taylor is dropping a brand-new deluxe edition of the album called The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore, and yes, it includes the song Swifties have been waiting for: “Patient Zero.”

The expanded edition adds four new songs in total, including “Patient Zero,” “Cleveland!,” “Pink Clouding,” and “Babylon.”

According to Taylor, the new songs were written with longtime collaborators Max Martin and Shellback during a trip to Sweden following the massive success of The Life of a Showgirl. She said the tracks were “born out of pure gratitude” for the incredible support from fans.

And because this is Taylor Swift, of course there have been clues.

Fans noticed the phrase “Patient for the encore” hidden in the frame of the “Opalite” video, along with other hints reportedly tucked into an Emmys sketch. Now we finally know what she was teasing.

The full deluxe edition hits streaming services at midnight Friday, and if you’re dying to hear “Patient Zero,” you are going to want to keep Q97.9 on all morning.
