The Honor Flight Maine Telethon is Today and I’m Lending a Hand

Today, News Center Maine is running their annual Honor Flight Maine Telethon to raise money to send Maine Veterans on trip to Washington D.C and you can help.

Honor Flight Maine is a non-profit organization that flies Maine Veterans to Washington D.C., puts them up in a hotel for two nights, provides their meals and gives them an opportunity to visit the memorials that honor them and their service to our country.

Veterans of World War II and the Vietnam War are among those that Honor Flight Maine provides this wonderful opportunity. When they return to Maine from their trip, people turn out to line the halls of the airport to greet them, waving flags and thanking them for their service.
