Lori's Uncle Nicky, who you can hear every Friday morning on the Q Morning Show during "Coffee With Uncle Nicky," is a do-it-yourself kind of guy. For a man who is 80 and had a career as an engineer, he still likes to dig in with his hands and get things done.

When the Russian war with Ukraine broke out, people all over the world started showing their solidarity for Ukraine by displaying the Ukrainian flag. Stickers on windows, add-ons to social media profile photos, and in some cases, actual shirts in the colors of the Ukrainian flag.

A lot of those shirts you could buy. Not Uncle Nicky though. Why buy a Ukrainian flag shirt when you can make one yourself?

On Friday, we talked with Uncle Nicky in our weekly Q Morning Show segment and Lori said she had spoken to her Aunt Barb about the t-shirt, telling her he should sell it. Aunt Barb would have none of that because there was blue and yellow dye all over the garage. If he were to actually manufacture and sell these shirts in his garage, he'd definitely need to streamline the process and find a way to keep the dye under control.

Not a bad looking shirt though!

So bad news if you were hoping to score your very own official Uncle Nickey Support Ukraine t-shirt. His is one of a kind, mostly because Aunt Barb said so. I just wonder how long it's going to take him to clean up the mess in the garage.
