After taking last year off to regroup due to the pandemic, the 5th annual "Villages of Light festival" in the Twin Villages of Damariscotta and Newcastle is on for his year. The event will be taking place on Friday and Saturday, November 26th and 27th.

It all kicks off at 4:30pm Friday, Nov. 26, with a parade that will head down Main Street through both towns with Santa Clause himself on hand to ring in the holiday season with a Ho Ho Ho. The parade starts on Mills Road in Newcastle and will work its way along right into Damariscotta.

The following day, Saturday, November 27th the Damariscotta Region Chamber of Commerce will be having a showing of its annual holiday movie. This is a drive-in movie which will be shown at the Renys Distribution Center which is located on route 1 in Newcastle.
