Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad Museum

The hugely popular Polar Express returns to Portland! It runs every Friday thru Sunday starting November 25th. Then the week of Christmas it will run Tuesday, December 20 thru Friday, December 23. The fun begins at the Ocean Gateway Visitor Center. Meet the Conductor, enjoy hot chocolate and cookies served by hot chocolate chefs, and listen to a reading of the enchanting story as they journey to the “North Pole.” Santa greets children aboard the train while passengers sing along to carols as they travel back to the train station. This is the only officially licensed Polar Express™ train ride in the state and is the largest annual fundraiser for the museum!
