Even though, here in Maine (and the rest of New England) we are not lucky enough to have beach weather all year long, there is no doubt that we are blessed with some beautiful beaches.  Popham Beach, Ogunquit Beach, Old Orchard Beach, and Wells Beach, to name just a few.

For many people, the ultimate purchase would be a home on, or at least very near, one of our beautiful, sandy beaches.  Of course, for most of us, these homes are way out of our price range.  Right?

Well, we think we've found one that most people could afford!

Of course, there is a catch...

According to the Realtor website, the home at 266 Post Road Unit 323 in Wells has two bedrooms, one bathroom and encompasses just about 500 square feet.  Yes, it is very small.

Located less than a mile from Wells Beach, it is very close to so much more.  As it is located just off Route 1, it is close to all that Southern Maine has to offer.  You'll be a short drive from stores, unique restaurants, and amusement parks, like Funtown / Splashtown.

The home is located in a resort called Thousand Trails Moody Beach.

The resort is described as:

Thousand Trails offers many amenities include a resort style pool and activities for everyone. Close to all the Wells beaches and restaurants as well as outside activities. The resort trolley will take you to the beaches or you can obtain a parking pass and drive there in your vehicle. This beautiful home is furnished and has outside firepit and seating

One of the biggest catches is the fact that it is seasonal.  The home is available between May 1st and October 31st.

It is a cool little manufactured home that fits with the style of many of the other waterfront cabins along this part of the coast of Maine.  Check out some pics of it:

The current list price is $95,000.  If you were to put $23,000 down at closing your monthly payments would be about $670.  Not too shabby.  And, even if you were not able to use it all summer, you could still rent it to help pay for the mortgage.
