This Version of ‘Baby It’s Cold Outside’ Won’t Be Banned On Radio

In case you missed it, the old Christmas classic "Baby It's Cold Outside" has been banned  from several radio stations for its questionable message regarding a woman trying to leave a man's house while he spends the entire song convincing her to stay. "Your lips look delicious," he says. "Say, what's in this drink?" she asks.

Needless to say, it doesn't scream "consent".

Leave it to Youtube to find a family that went to the trouble of rewriting the song with completely, 100%, family friendly, consensual alternative lyrics. Not only is it much more appropriate for today's #metoo standards, but it's hilarious. Give it a listen and see what you think:

There you have it! An entirely appropriate version for radio stations to play without controversy. Whether or not you agree that this old song was out of date by society's expectations of what's acceptable behavior, you gotta admit this rewritten version kicks the old one's butt.
