Suspect Arrested in Hopkinton, New Hampshire, Case; Victim Identified
It's been a heartbreaking few days in Northern New England this week.
Hopkinton, New Hampshire, Body Found
Earlier this week, New Hampshire State Police informed the public that they were called to the area of Mile Marker 7.2 on the northbound side of Interstate 89 in Hopkinton, New Hampshire, for reports of someone sleeping in the breakdown lane.
When they arrived, NH State Police discovered that the unidentified woman was not sleeping but was unfortunately deceased. They took to social media following an autopsy in an attempt to identify the victim by posting a picture of a tattoo found on the woman's bottom left back.

Hours after reaching out to the public, tips poured into the New Hampshire State Police, and they were able to identify the victim as 27-year-old Gina C. Maiorano of Henniker, New Hampshire.
While the autopsy revealed that Gina's cause of death was "blunt impact head injuries," according to NH State Police, the "manner of death is inconclusive, pending investigation."
Thomas Shane Hanley Arrested
While announcing the identification of Gina, New Hampshire State Police also revealed that they made an arrest in the case as well.
30-year-old Thomas Shane Hanley of Henniker, New Hampshire was arrested for -- according to NH State Police -- "Conduct After an Accident (Felony), Breach of Bail, and Stalking."
According to New Hampshire State Police, they arrived at the scene of Gina's body being found on the side of Interstate 89 at 12:13a the morning of Monday, June 5 (Sunday night going into Monday morning.)
Also according to New Hampshire State Police, although Thomas Shane Hanley was arrested in connection to this case:
The charges and allegations against Mr. Hanley are merely accusations, and he is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
