If you grew up in the 80s it's going to feel like you're a kid again as the Bridgton Drive-In shows two classic movies from your childhood this weekend.

1985's The Goonies was a collaboration between Stephen Spielberg and Richard Donner who directed other big 70s and 80s hits like Superman and Lethal Weapon. This movie is a favorite among kids of the 80s who imagined they were one of the Goonies searching for One-Eyed Willy's treasure. Goonies never die!

The Goonies wasn't a smash hit at the time, but it did rank as the ninth highest grossing movie of 1985 and became a favorite for years to come on home video.

The NeverEnding Story got buried by other blockbusters of 1984 like Ghostbusters, Beverly Hills Cop and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. It didn't make as much at the box office as it took to make the film, but like The Goonies, The NeverEnding Story was a huge success on home video, because what kid hasn't dreamed of riding on the back of a luckdragon?

If you want to see these movie just like you might have in the 80s on a giant outdoor screen, The Bridgton Drive-In will be showing them on one of their two screens this weekend.
