This Maine Town is Underrated for 6 Really Good Reasons

Here's a good question, why does everybody give Biddeford such a bad rep? Truthfully, I think it's the next up and coming city considering all the new additions its' added in the past few years.

Pepperell Mill at Saco Falls Biddeford, Maine

Tons of my friends have apartments in the mills which are always a cool place to live. The layouts are basically huge warehouses that you can creatively make your own space out of.

Famously known for housing businesses and tenants right next to each other, it creates a super unique living environment, I think, for the younger crowd. That's just one reason Biddeford is absolutely underrated, not enough people take the mills into consideration.

Actually, when I visit those same friends in Biddeford, we typically go to one of these 5 places and each one of them are absolutely fantastic in their own way. Incase you forgot, here's what's either been recently built, or severely overlooked in the city.

Brickyard Hallow

This is actually one of my favorite pizza places to go to in Portland, and let me tell you the same type of awesome beer, pizza, and atmosphere is also offered in their Biddeford location on Main St.

They also host community nights and fun fundraisers which is always cool of a business to do.

Batson River Saco, Biddeford, Maine

Also famously known for their Portland location, people often forget that Batson's original location started in Biddeford. It's actually located in the Lincoln Hotel which is pretty damn cool.

The front sign is definitely hidden as you have to go down some stairs to get in, so I think that may be why people tend to forget about it as they drive by.

L.L. Bean Outlet Store Biddeford, Maine

And here I thought the only L.L. Bean outlet store was in Freeport where the original Bean's  headquarters is. Turns out there's also one on Mariner Way. Who doesn't love a good deal on some bean boots.

Cowbell Biddeford, Maine

Burgers, beer, and really awesome people. This is the most perfect sports bar to camp out in for the atmosphere with some really awesome burgers. There's a new location in Westbrook as well which is even cooler (in my opinion). Love them both.

Anyways, you heard it here first, Biddeford is about to be the new old port in 3 years.
