The weather observers on top of Mount Washington have been having a lot of fun this year with the extreme weather on the summit. From freezing a pair of pants so they stand up straight to tossing a boiling pot of water into the air and watching it instantly turn to snow. When you live on the summit of the highest peak in New England you have to keep yourself entertained.

Living on the summit though also has the benefit of some of the most beautiful and breathtaking views in the world.

The Mount Washington Observatory recently shared a 360º view from the summit just after the sun rose over the horizon. This looks like a simple camera phone shot taken from the instrument tower atop the observatory, but the view is still stunning. And listen to that wind as the camera turn into it! It's not a record of 231mph that Mt. Washington has seen, but man that has to be cold!
