If you thought it's been windy the past few days, the folks who work at the Mt. Washington Observatory are here to show you what 85 mph winds look like.

Wind gusts in Maine and New Hampshire last night were between 30 and 40 mph, but on top of Mt. Washington Sunday morning, there were gusts 80 to 85 mph with wind chills 30 to 40 degrees below zero. Overnight Saturday until early Sunday morning, the winds were consistently gusting to over 120 mph. This isn't even the worst of what Mt. Washington has seen.

Observers on the top of Mt. Washington don't let these conditions stand in their way. They live for these extreme conditions and love to play in like kids playing in the snow.

Watch as they head out into the wind and the cold and literally lean into the wind as it blows so hard it keeps them standing at an angle. If you want to skip their introduction and get to the part where they head outside, just jump to the 5:20 mark in the video.
