For 17 years the Q has been raising money and awareness for breast cancer.

So many people have been involved... so many people have been lost.

It's the least we can do to help those who are in the fight of their lives.

It's an emotional three-day event. There are people who come, and have come for years, those who have never been involved before, and the sponsors who have our back and do all they can to make sure we hit the goal.

And of course, it's been personal to me as well having lost my mom to breast cancer. Every time we do Cans for a Cure, whether that's driving around in the Can Van or meeting people and hearing their stories, I feel like my mom is with me the whole time.

The goal this year was 2 million bottles and cans, or $100,000 in donations for the Dempsey Center. We hit a bit of a lull Thursday due to that darn nor'easter, but as things cleared up, we had an amazing final day on Friday as you all helped pull this off.

We not only met our goal, we surpassed it. A whopping $112,000!

Just look at me below enjoying the moment:

But wait, it wasn't over as after that explosion of confetti cannons, we learned we got another $3,000 to make it a total of $115,000! Amazing.

And let's not forget Oxford Casino helped big time again this year by donating a whopping $51,035!

All in all, it was a huge success and would not have been possible without your generosity. So thank you all for making this year's Cans for a Cure the biggest ever!
