Watching This Bald Eagle Swim in a NH Lake Is Blowing My Mind

Just when you thought you've seen it all, something like this comes along.

Am I the only one that didn't know that bald eagles can swim? In a video taken in Wolfeboro, NH by Tyler Blake and posted by WMUR, you can see a bald eagle swimming to shore.

And he's not just swimming - he's doing a very dramatic breast stroke, and doing it very well.

I feel like this guy would crush me in a swim race. He might even be able to take Michael Phelps. Look at how good he is, and how fast he's going!

So of course I had to do some digging on the topic, and I was pretty surprised to learn that this isn't the only bald eagle that knows how to swim.

Apparently, bald eagles are known swimmers...which sure is news to me.
