This Weird Car Is The Only One Registered In Maine
First, the Tesla truck was spotted in Portland, and now this wild-looking car.
This caught my eye as it pulled up behind me in Portland. I was on Commercial Street and I wanted to know what it was! I saw that he pulled into a parking lot, and I whipped around and started stalking this wild car!
It pulled into the parking lot at DiMillo's. I thought I was gonna have to pay for parking just to find out what this car is. I was committed and pulled into the parking lot following this car around and around. When they finally parked, I said,
I'm stalking you because I HAVE to know what that weird car is!
The couple in the car couldn't have been nicer and of course, I'm not the first to question it. Bruce and Renee Bristow spent a few minutes explaining to the crazy lady who stopped them what the car was.
"I believe it's the only Vanderhall Carmel registered in Maine"
Bruce told me that this is the Vanderhall Carmel and it was handmade in Utah. He believes it's the only one of its kind in Maine. I agree; it is a very unique car. Is it a car?

What is a Vanderahall seen in Portland, Maine?
According to Wikipedia:
Vanderhall Motor Works is an American vehicle manufacturer based in Provo, Utah. It manufactures hand-made three-wheeled autocycles designed for sports driving, touring, commuting, and city driving.
So why go with a handmade three-wheeled autocycle? This is my favorite part. Bruce said that he really wanted to get back into motorcycles and Renee did not. So this was their compromise. I said I wanted to see this sucker in the winter, and much like a motorcycle, it's seasonal. However, they do have heated seats for those chilly Maine mornings.
Two great things came from me following this weird car in Portland, Maine. I met Bruce and Renee and learned they own R&B's Home Source in Madison, Maine, and the parking for 5 minutes in DiMillo's cost me nothing.
