What Does Lori Voornas Now Have In Common With Tina Fey and Betty White?

I can understand why placing Lori Voornas in the same company as legends like Tina Fey and Betty White might seem like a stretch, but we found out Wednesday that Lori indeed does have something in common with them.

The Alliance for Women in Media Foundation has presented The Gracie Awards since 1975 to honor the achievements of women in television, radio, and digital media on a national and local level. The awards are named after Gracie Allen, part of the comedy team of Burns and Allen who were a success for over 40 years, starting on the radio in the 1930s and eventually moving to TV.

We found out today that Lori is a 2021 recipient of a prestigious Gracie Award for local morning show radio host. She joins the ranks of other outstanding women like Tina Fey and Betty White who have won in the past, along with other 2021 Gracie recipients like Hoda Kotb & Jenna Bush Hager of Today and Catherine O’Hara of Schitt’s Creek.

No one works harder to put on a great show and does more for our community and our listeners than Lori does. She's always there to lend a hand to help or an ear to listen. Add that to her incredible on-air talent and it doesn't surprise me one bit that she was selected to receive a Gracie.
