This is a great time lapse video of a Nor'Easter. The biggest thing needed for a Nor'Easter is the right wind. The winds have to come whipping from the northeast over the water, scooping up moisture and dumping it mostly on New England north of New York. Our storm Thursday has all the ingredients needed:

  • wind direction
  • low pressure system

The storm is close to a tropical storm. In fact, get this - a Nor'Easter doesn't happen just in the winter.Any storm with the right wind direction and punch can be a Nor'Easter. It's the winter ones that are a pain, cuz you gotta move all that snow.
