Why is ‘Dolly’ on the Island of Misfit Toys? What’s Wrong With Her?

This has been debated for years....so just why IS 'Dolly for Sue' on that island with a 'Charlie in the Box' and an elephant with spots? I had no idea!

Dolly seems pretty normal. She's got all her limbs in the right spot and well...what's the matter with her?

In 2007, 'Rudolph's' producer, Arthur Rankin, said in an interview on NPR, that Dolly considers herself a misfit due to her low self-esteem issues and psychological problems. Yikes.
