The people who are catching it the worst with social distancing guidelines believe it or not are senior citizens.

The group most susceptible to this pandemic is also the loneliest.

Most of their family is staying away for fear of infecting them, which is understandable, but as life goes on and parents are trying to work and homeschool kids, people are not checking in on their older relatives.

A friend of mine who works at a doctor's office sent me this text:

"I am over here listening and having full-on conversations with people while I am trying to schedule for an appointment for their arthritis. My Co-worker keeps telling me to end the calls and hang up on them. It's like Gertrude was supposed to pick up her two new Kittens today, and she can't .. I gotta be there for her!"

Our seniors may not be able to interact with us in person as they did a few months ago, but reach out and give them a call and let them know that they are not alone.
