Will Ziggi's Coffee Shop re-open in Maine?

The co-founder and CEO of Ziggi's Coffee told Mainebiz that the owners of the Saco, Maine branch have shut it down and he has no information on it reopening. They posted on Facebook that the shutdown was temporary.

They said,

We can confirm our Saco location is temporarily closed. We deeply appreciate the support and connections we’ve built with the community and are working diligently to find a solution that will allow us to reopen as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.

READ MORE: New Hampshire and Maine Get Their First Ziggi’s Coffee Shops

They started breaking ground in September of 2023. It was ground-up construction near the Scarborough town line. It had a drive-thru, walk-up windows, and even some outdoor seating when the weather was nice. The coffee shop franchise was started in Colorado and they have 75 stores in more than a dozen states. They opened 17 just last year. The only New Hampshire location in Meredith which opened earlier this year seems to be safe.

Don't worry coffee lovers. Look for an Aroma Joe's to be filling the void of Ziggi's in the same area.
