Beer That Tastes Exactly Like Root Beer? It’s Real and It’s Amazing!

I don't know what kind of magical sorcery this is, but someone has invented a beer that tastes exactly like root beer yet has 5.9% alcohol by volume. I tried some this weekend and I'm hooked! 

It's called 'Not Your Father's Root Beer' and is made by Small Town Brewery in Illinois. It's been making the rounds here locally and I had to try some.

My friends from camp came home with a six pack that they picked up at the Lake Store in Norway and I asked them how it was. They hadn't even tried it yet, but offered me one.

On your first taste of 'Not Your Father's Root Beer' you make a face. It's the face of amazement because I swear it tastes EXACTLY like root beer. I would never in a million years know it contained alcohol until I had three of them and started to get a buzz.

There's a very slight after taste that hints of beer, but it's hardly even noticeable. I went back to the Lake Store to get my own six pack but they were all sold out. They had one single bottle. I passed. Six or nothing for me.

It's very sweet, so don't expect you're going to get hammered on it without getting sick to your stomach first. It is however delicious and I need to find some more.
