Dial-A-Carol is a student-run holiday program at the University of Illinois. Every year the students of Snyder Hall, a University Housing residence hall, do Dial-A-Carol.This was started in December 1960 by Betty Gordon, an area office secretary, and the residents of Snyder Hall who wanted to spread some holiday cheer around campus.

It's pretty simple...anyone from anywhere can call them and request a holiday song they will sing over the phone. Oh and it's also 24 hours a day for seven days. It's every year during the finals week of the first semester. Last year they took more than 4,000 calls from all over the world.

This program is possible because of many volunteers who sacrifice their study time for finals!

We have called the Dial-A-Carol every year for the past 12 years! They make our day every time! This time we had Katherine sing 'Carol of the Bells'!

Want them to sing to you? Just call this number - but hurry, they wrap up Dial-A-Carol on Wednesday!
