Do You Cry at Weird Things?

Human emotions are unpredictable. I was talking to a co-worker about the Adele Thanksgiving Miracle skit on Saturday Night Live when he mentioned it made him tear up, and not in a so-funny-I-cried kind of way. He was emotionally moved by the skit that I thought for sure was only intended to make me laugh.

I thought it was odd, but then I remembered all the weird stuff that's made me cry recently.

1. Hearing my voice on the radio for the first time for a pregnancy resource ad.
2. A video of a chimpanzee cuddling a kitten.
3. My dog looked really cute curled up in her bed wearing her hooded sweatshirt.

Then I saw a silly viral photo on Twitter and realized that crying triggers are extremely unpredictable and actually kind of funny. Who HASN'T cried while watching a video about a dog? I think I cry watching dog videos on a daily basis. Also, I totally feel for this woman for crying because she saw a picture of a piglet when she was hungover.
