It's a heartbreaking discovery, and one that we've become all too familiar with, unfortunately.

Without warning, at the blink of an eye, one of your favorite local businesses -- and more specifically, a favorite local restaurant -- suddenly closes without any heads up or notification beforehand.

That's what's just happened to a popular restaurant in Rochester, New Hampshire, that has left a lot of customers' scratching their heads wondering what's going on, while other customers think they've solved the mystery.

Bean Me Up, Rochester, New Hampshire

It was just in February 2023, that a ribbon cutting was held for Bean Me Up, according to the Rochester Chamber of Commerce. The owner, Kris Enis-Maranda, who also owns Fallen Leaf Bistro just a few doors down, mentioned being thrilled to contribute to Rochester's success with the two businesses.

However, at the time of this writing, both businesses have been listed as temporarily closed both on their respective Facebook pages as well as on Google.

While a lot of speculation exists in the comments section about the assumed reason for the unannounced temporary closure, mainly surrounding trouble finding reliable employees, someone who identified themselves as an employee attempted to set the record straight.

Whatever the actual reason for the temporary closure if both Fallen Leaf Bistro and Bean Me Up, it's important to remember that yes, these may be just two businesses to some, but it's an entire livelihood and well-being to the owner and her family.

Best wishes to Kris and her family, as well as hopes that the closures are both indeed temporary, and don't last long.
