No matter what kind of dog you have the 4th of July can be a very traumatic time for them. When the loud fireworks start popping off most dogs have no idea what's going on, where the loud noises are coming from or how to escape the sounds. I've heard stories of dogs just bolting out the door and running anywhere just to try and get away from the noises which usually leads lo a lost pet! And the closer you live to where they shoot off the fireworks the worse it can be for your pooch.
