Maine Youth Rock Orchestra Added to Not So Silent Night Concert with MKTO [VIDEO]

Q97.9 is putting on a concert on December 18th at The State Theater in Portland. The concert will be hosted by The Q Morning Show and headlined by the pop group MKTO! A performance by The Maine Youth Rock Orchestra has just been added as well as American Idol finalist and NH native Alex Preston and our night DJ Ya Favorite Homie J.R. This will add some fun and local flavor and make it a night of live music you don't want to miss!

Maine Youth Rock Orchestra (MYRO) is a non-profit program in part with the Maine Academy of Modern Music that provides students ages 12-18 the chance to work with and perform alongside Maine and New England bands and artists in an alternative setting. MYRO has performed at the top venues in Maine along with 11 different artists, including Spose, The Wrecking, Lyle Divinsky and more. They've also produced 2 music videos and recorded sessions in Portland and Boston. What an amazing opportunity for these kids. We're very excited for them to perform at our show on December 18th.
