This is precisely what we needed, more snow! Our friends at WGME are telling us that we are on pace to have a Mother's Day snowfall. That's right, April showers are supposed to bring May flowers, but all of the flowers will be frosted over, as we could get up to 6 inches in some parts of Maine.

As you can see from social media, people are not taking this seriously as we would typically, perhaps our minds are preoccupied. Either way, this, not the first time we have seen the white stuff in May. The last time it was reported was May 23rd, 2015, the highest total was inches in Portage Maine according to the National Weather Service

It will be interesting to see what this brings to the landscape so far out of the winter season, even in New England, where the weather changes every 5 minutes. In either case, I hope that this is the last time that word is uttered this year... 'Snow'...
