Movie Mom is Glad January is Over! [VIDEO]

Finally the long month known as January is over, and finally some good movies are opening at the theater. Movie Mom reviews a couple of sci/fi movies, a family movie and a date movie out this week!

Let's start with one of the two science fiction movies called 'Jupiter Ascending' with Channing Tatum. As long as you just go with it, you'll have fun. But please don't try to make sense of this movie about who really owns earth!

Then there is 'Seventh Son' with Jeff bridges who fights evil spirits and hires an apprentice. Again, let go and have fun. Please don't try to make sense of it, or your head will explode.

Then the good ol' fashioned family movie falls squarely on the shoulders of Spongebob Squarepants in his new movie, 'Spongebob Squarepants: Sponge Out of Water'.

Do you like Spongebob? Then you'll love it. Not familiar with that sponge? You'll still be entertained.

Lastly is a date movie with the perfect date movie guy Hugh Grant called 'The Rewrite'. An Oscar-winning writer (Grant) in a slump leaves Hollywood to teach screenwriting at a college on the East Coast, where he falls for a single mom (Marisa Tomei) taking classes there. It's cute. No Oscar winner, but a good date movie!
