A Couple of New Movies Out For Thanksgiving Weekend.

Just in time to digest turkey in a theater, Disney/Pixar has a new movie out called 'The Good Dinosaur' and 'Creed' the latest in the Rocky franchise.

First Movie Mom says that 'The Good Dinosaur' is a good movie. Not a great movie. For that, you're gonna want to rent Pixar's 'Inside Out'. But she did enjoy it. She warned, that with 3D graphics, and 'animals eating animals' - oh and the 'Lion King effect' (the father dies), she recommended no one under 6 to see 'The Good Dinosaur'.

Then there is what essentially is Rocky 7. It's 'Creed' about Apollo Creed's illegitimate son who wants to fight.

Movie Mom liked this new movie staring Michael B. Jordan, a favorite actor of hers. She thinks it brings new current relevant life to Rocky franchise. In fact, it leaves it open for Rocky 8, 9 and 10! And yes, Rocky (Sylvester Stallone) does run up those steps in Philadelphia!

Or you could stay home and rent 'Shaun the Sheep'. The same guys that do Wallace and Gromit made this movie. Not one word of dialogue is in the movie - it's all done by gestures and facial expressions. I love that.

Movie Mom also really enjoyed 'Ricki and the Flash'. Meryl Streep stars as an aging rocker who wants to give it one last shot. It doesn't quite go as planned.
